Aerospace Systems Engineering (AE 443) is a group-project class which is challenged to write a proposal for the the AIAA Undergraduate Team Space Design Competition.
2015/2016 prompt: Low-Cost Asteroid Precursor Mission
My team submitted our proposal to the competition and won 1st Place for our design of an 11 month mission where a 385 kg satellite (wet mass at launch) was targeted to rendezvous with Asteroid 2008 EV5 and perform a thorough characterization.

My group promoted an integrated working relationship. I also created a propellant calculator in Excel to estimate spacecraft wet mass. I worked closely with the communications and data handling subsystems to ensure all science ops data can be downlinked according to measurement requirements
